Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) and Dharumavantha Hospital have launched nano arthroscopy, a minimally invasive procedure that uses a needle-sized, high-definition camera to diagnose and treat joint issues.
The public hospitals located in Male’ City introduced the advanced procedure on Sunday.
According to IGMH, it marked the first time for the procure to be done in the Maldives.

The procedure minimizes trauma, eliminates the need for large incisions or general anesthesia, and accelerates recovery compared to traditional arthroscopy.
