According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare, 37 shipments of plants have been imported illegally so far in 2025. The ministry on Monday, May 5, shared statistics of plants imported to the Maldives from January until now. From January until April, Maldives imported 3,869,648 types of plants and plant-parts as per statistics, which is a total of 405 shipments out
