Nashwa Abdulla was dismissed on Thursday from her role as chairperson of the Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) – a state-owned enterprise in charge of running social housing projects.
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced Nashwa’s dismissal in a post on X on Thursday afternoon.
The PCB said that Nashwa was removed from her role “as of today”, but did not provide a reason for the decision.

Nashwa, who has over 16 years of experience in public infrastructure, was appointed as the chairperson of FDC on January 8, 2024.
She previously worked in different government ministries and as a director at Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
