Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) states that the large vacant plot adjacent to Amaan Dhoadhi 16, one of the housing towers built under the ‘Gedhoruveriya’ program, is set to be developed as an 18-story commercial office building.
The large plot adjacent to Amaan Dhoadhi 16 is currently being used for parking by residents of the Amaan towers. There’s currently scant alternative parking space available in the populous area.
In response to a query filed through the FDC’s Moahali portal, the corporation said on Thursday that the plot has been awarded to Kandoofa to develop an 18-story commercial office building.
FDC said that one of the key objectives of the project is to develop parking space for residents of the Amaan towers.
The corporation added that the building will also offer space for essential services and commercial space for businesses.
The building will also house FDC’s head office.
The corporation added that while the plot is set to be leased to Kandoofa, the current plan may be subject to changes as key decisions regarding the project have yet to be finalized.
