Kulhudhuffushi man who went out for morning jog found dead in stadium restroom

An elderly man from Kulhudhuffushi who went out for an early morning jog on Wednesday has been found dead in the restroom of the sports stadium in the northern city.

According to police, Hassan Moosa, 67, Jifudi, HDh. Kulhudhuffushi, left his home at around 05:00 am. He was reported missing by his family at around 10:30 am after he failed to return home.

The police launched a search operation, during which they found Hassan Mohamed collapsed inside the restroom of the Kulhudhuffushi Zone Stadium.

He was taken to the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital, which informed the police that he was already deceased when taken there.

According to the police, the hospital said there were no outward signs of injury on his body.

The case is under investigation by the police.
