MIFSA's Chairperson Abdulla Jihad--
The Maldives International Financial Services Authority (MIFSA) on Wednesday has announced seeking a Chief Executive Officer for the organization, offering a remuneration of MVR 57,000 take home pay per month.
The Ministry of Finance in its announcement said the Chief Executive will be appointed for a duration between five to 10 years, and notified the eligibility criteria which include:
Interested applicants are required to submit their documents before 10:00hrs on Sunday next week.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, in accordance with the discretion granted to him under the Constitution, established MIFSA on January 21, 2024. The authority was initially under the mandate of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade after which it was transferred under the Ministry of Finance.
While President Muizzu has established a governing body for the authority, he appointed former Vice President Abdulla Jihad as the association’s chairperson.
MIFSA was created to enhance the legal framework for both offshore and onshore financial services in accordance with the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) Act.
