Three injured in multi-vehicle pileup at Sinamale’ Bridge

A multi-vehicle collision followed by a second crash took place at the busy Sinamale’ Bridge on Wednesday night, leaving three people injured.

The collisions were reported to the police at around 09:48 pm.

The original crash took place when a motorcycle stopped behind an idle car which had its four-way flashers or hazard lights on. A second motorcycle crashed into the first one, and both motorcycles crashed into the car.

Two people sustained injuries in this collision.

A second collision took place while the traffic flow had been stalled due to the original crash, when a motorcycle crashed into the car in front of it.

The second accident resulted in serious injuries to the motorcyclist, including serious injuries to their thigh.

All three injured in the two collisions were taken to a hospital.

Both accidents are under investigation by the police.
