Police say man died after falling under trailer lorry in Usfasgandu accident

The man who died in the accident in front of Usfasgandu on Boduthakurufaanu Magu on Sunday late afternoon was killed when he fell under a trailer lorry, police have revealed.

The deceased was identified as Ibrahim Nasih, 39, Lot No. 20054 (Greenpeak), Hulhumale'. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at IGM Hospital.

Police said the investigation so far shows Nasih died after being hit by a trailer lorry. However, it is not believed that he fell under the vehicle due to a direct collision.

The incident occurred at 15:57 pm. Traffic in the Darbar area was heavily congested at the time, with many people travelling home after office hours. The road was also being used by buses.

Police are investigating the cause of the incident. Further details will be shared as soon as they are available.
