Government services centers established across 18 atolls

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Thursday established government services centers across 18 atolls.

According to the President’s Office, the centers, established by using the executive powers granted to him under Article 116 (a) of the Constitution, will operate under the management of the Ministry of Homeland Security, Labor and Technology.

The centers cover all Maldivian atolls, with the exemption of Addu City and Fuvahmulah City.

They are:

  • Government Services Center - HA. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – HDh. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – Sh. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – N. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – R. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – B. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – Lh. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – K. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – AA. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – ADh. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – V. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – M. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – F. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – Dh. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – Th. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – L. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – GA. Atoll
  • Government Services Center – GDh. Atoll

According to the President’s Office, the centers were established to provide public services through integrated service centers as required under Article 65 (a) (i) of the Decentralization Act.

The President’s Office did not say why the centers weren’t established in the southern cities.
