Majeedhee Magu construction site fall: One worker discharged, other admitted to ward

One of the two workers who fell from a construction site in Majeedhee Magu on Saturday has been discharged from hospital.

The Maldives Police Service stated on Saturday that it received a report at approximately 13:53pm after two workers had fallen from a building under construction on Majeedhee Magu.

According to the Police, the incident occurred while the two workers were carrying out work on the first floor of the building. Both were immediately transported to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for medical treatment.

They were identified as a 22-year-old Nepalese national and a 39-year-old Bangladeshi national.

IGMH confirmed to Sun on Sunday that one of the victims was treated in the Emergency Room and discharged, while the other remains admitted to the hospital ward for further observation.

The Police are investigating the incident further.
