Four youths remanded for 10 days over brawl outside Hiyaa tower

The four youths who were arrested on Friday over a brawl near the Hiyaa towers in Hulhumale’ Phase II have been remanded in custody of the police for 10 days.

The four – two men and two women - were caught red-handed on Friday evening by police officers patrolling the area.

They were identified as women aged 18 and 19, and men aged 24 and 27.

A police spokesperson said they were taken to the court for their remand hearing on Saturday.

All four were remanded in police custody for 10 days, added the spokesperson.

Video recordings of the incident show two men fighting each other and two women engaged in a similar physical struggle. It also shows bystanders attempt to intervene, before the police show up and arrest those involved.
