Addu City experienced the heaviest rainfall over the last 24 hours, according to the national weather agency.
According to statistics shared by the Maldives Meteorological Service, the weather station located in Hithadhoo district of Addu recorded 119.2 millimeters of rain between 8:00 am Tuesday and 08:00 am Wednesday.
It makes it the island which experienced the heaviest rainfall over the last 24 hours.
Other districts of Addu also experienced heavy rainfall, with Gan recording 66 millimeters of rain, and Hulhumeedhoo recording 54.

The heavy rainfall in these islands come amid scattered showers and few thunderstorms across southern Maldives. Scattered showers are also being experienced in central regions, while the weather largely clear in the north.
The seas are expected to be slight becoming moderate during showers, with waves of two to five feet.
