SSTV set for live coverage of Eid festivities from Dharavandhoo and Gan

Sun Siyam Media (SS Media) is set to deliver a live coverage of Eid al-Adha festivities from B. Dharavandhoo and L. Gan.

SS Media has signed agreements with Dharavandhoo Council and Gan Council for this purpose.

Dharavandhoo has organized a series of events for Eid al-Adha, taking place from June 5th to June 9th under the tagline, ‘Magey Eid’.

The events will kick off on the evening of June 5th with the official opening of ‘Magey Bageecha’, followed by a performance by the popular children’s entertainer ‘Roboman’ and a fireworks display.

Congregational Eid prayer will be the first event on the day of Eid itself, June 6^th, which will be followed by Eid breakfast and ‘Fenkulhi’ (water game).

There will be a cultural performance by K. Kaashidhoo Vencha Club at Dharavandhoo harbor area on the evening of Eid day. The club will deliver another cultural show at Dharavandhoo’s Rasgeodi beach at 21:00pm that night.

The day after Eid, June 7^th, is also filled with activities from maali dance, koadi hingun and a show by the hottest band in the Maldives at present, 2ofus. 

Gan has also planned a variety of events for Eid al-Adha, with key highlights including a nationwide Baibalaa competition and a stage show.

SS Media will be broadcasting live coverage of the Eid celebrations across its various platforms, with crews stationed on multiple islands to capture the festivities from as many locations as possible.

This Eid al-Adha is especially significant for SS Media as it marks the launch of ‘Sun Play’ — a new mobile app designed to enhance live coverage from as many locations as possible at the same. The app will be available for download on both Google Play and the App Store ahead of Eid.
