Boyfriend and ex-husband arrested after violent altercation

A violent altercation took place between two men outside a home in Hulhumale’ on Sunday afternoon, leading to the arrest of both.

The incident, which took place outside a lot in Burevigas Magu, was reported to the police at around 01:00 pm.

According to police, officers who attended to the scene discovered the altercation took place between the boyfriend and former husband of a woman.

Family members also got involved in the altercation, added a police spokesperson.

The accident resulted in injuries to both men, with one of them sustaining a gash to the head.

Both men were treated at the hospital and promptly arrested upon discharge.

The case is under further investigation by the police.
