Applications open for LGA board membership

The President’s Office, on Monday, has opened applications for membership on the Board of the Local Government Authority (LGA).

According to the President’s Office, the vacancy is for the board member representing civil society organizations.

Application form is available for download on the President’s Office website.

Applications will be accepted from Monday until November 1^st, on working days between 08:30am and 12:00pm.

The LGA is mandated to oversee local councils and ensure their accountability. The authority is currently chaired by Finance Minister Hassan Zareer, while Mohamed Nimal serves as its Chief Executive Officer.
