Maldivian female student dies in accident in Malaysia

A Maldivian woman died in a road accident in Malaysia on Sunday.

Principal Spokesperson at the President’s Office Mohamed Hussain Shareef confirmed that it was a Maldivian student who died. He noted that another Maldivian is reportedly involved in the incident, while efforts are underway to verify further details.

According to information received by Sun, the deceased was a 22-year-old woman from Addu City. The accident occurred while they were returning home after visiting a shopping mall.

Further details regarding the identity of the deceased student and the individual who sustained injuries have yet to be confirmed.
