Maldives and Croatia sign MoU to strengthen political relations

The Maldives and Croatia have signed an agreement to strengthen political relations and facilitate regular consultations between the two countries.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Political Consultations was signed on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Foreign Minister Iruthisham Adam signed the MoU on behalf of the Maldives, while Gordan Grlić-Radman, Croatia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, signed on behalf of the Croatian Government. The signing took place following a meeting between the two ministers.

The main objective of the MoU is to expand bilateral cooperation and establish a mechanism for regular political dialogue on areas of mutual importance. The agreement reflects the shared commitment of both countries to further strengthen their longstanding friendly relations.

During the UN General Assembly, the Maldivian delegation is holding key discussions with delegations from various countries and formalising several MoUs to enhance international cooperation.
