Mohamed Ibrahim (Kudoo), the MDP’s North Galolhu MP, has filed a report with the police on Wednesday after receiving credible information that a serious physical attack was being planned against him.

Speaking at a press conference held on Thursday by the MDP Parliamentary Group, amid the circulation of related information on social media, Kudoo stated that he had received credible information from a reliable source indicating that both he and Amir Saleem, Head of Programs and Coordination at Raajje TV, were being targeted for a serious physical attack.

He confirmed that the matter was reported to the police yesterday.

"Upon receiving credible information that a serious physical attack was being planned against me and Raajje TV's Amir, I sent a letter to the police yesterday at 01:43. Nearly 24 hours have now passed, and I have yet to receive a response," he stated.

Kudoo questioned how ordinary citizens could expect their complaints to be addressed by the police, when even a report filed by a sitting parliamentarian goes unanswered.

Notably, the threat against Amir Saleem was similarly reported to the police on Wednesday.

This incident comes against a backdrop of previous cases involving physical attacks and death threats against parliamentarians.
