Although the weather alerts have primarily focused on the southern region, the Met has forecasted rainy weather conditions across various parts of the country on Friday.
In this regard, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across the central and southern atolls, with some islands likely to experience heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, sea conditions are expected to remain moderate but could become rough during squalls. Wave heights are forecast to range between three and five feet.
Met Office has urged residents in the central and southern atolls to exercise caution amid the prevailing weather conditions.
Authorities continue to advise the public to monitor the latest weather updates and take the necessary safety precautions during the period of inclement weather.
