A total of 13 emergency incidents were reported last week, with 10 occurring in Male' City, according to the MNDF Fire and Rescue Service (FRS). The incidents took place between 9-15 August.
MNDF said the Fire and Rescue Service responded to 13 incidents overall, including 10 handled by the Male' Area Command, two by the Southern Area Command, and one by the Northern Area Command.
The most frequently reported cases were fire incidents, rescue incidents, and hazmat incidents. Hazmat incidents involve the uncontrolled release of chemical, biological, radiological or physical substances that pose risks to human safety, property or the environment.

Fire incidents: 06
Hazmat incidents: 01
Rescue incidents: 03
Medical evacuation incidents: 02
Alarm incidents: 01
MNDF noted that its teams continue to attend numerous emergency calls across the country. The search operation for three people missing at sea after a recent accident remains ongoing. The three individuals went missing while attempting to rescue people after a supply boat carrying construction materials sank.
