HPA moves headquarters to Hulhumale’

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has moved its headquarters from Male’ to the city hotel in Hulhumale’.

HPA has announced that starting Saturday, all its services will be based out of the second floor of the Manhattan Grand Hotel in Hulhumale’ Phase II. It is located next to the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) Hulhumale’ office building.

HPA had previously been based at Roashanee Building in Sosun Magu of Male’ City, which also houses the Health Ministry and the Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA).

HPA is the first to move its headquarters to the Manhattan Grand Hotel, with more state institutions set to follow suit. Several floors of the hotel are designated as office spaces for state institutions.

Meanwhile, the ground floor is designated for the Media Village, and will accommodate up to 34 media outlets.

The World of Business, a foreign investment company run by Dubai-based Deep Seafood Company, was awarded the contract to develop the five-star Manhattan Grand Hotel in August last year.
