The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged all Maldivians living or travelling in the Middle East to register at the nearest Maldivian embassy as soon as possible, amid escalating conflict in the region.
In a statement, the Ministry said Maldivians should pay close attention to their safety and security as tensions rise following the ongoing hostilities involving Iran and Israel. The Ministry noted that registering with embassies is essential to ensure timely consular assistance if required.
Maldivians currently in countries affected by attacks have been advised to limit outdoor movement and follow the safety guidelines issued by local authorities.
