Nobu Hospitality to launch resort in Maldives with collection of private island residences

Nobu Hospitality has announced plans to expand into the Maldives with Nobu Hotel, Residences, and Restaurant Maldives, on the private island of Munyafushi in Laamu Atoll.

Developed in partnership with Sarat International, this marks Nobu’s first venture into the leading holiday destination.

Helmed by world-renowned Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro, and Meir Teper, the Nobu Hotel concept is a curated experience where every property is different.

Surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, Nobu’s resort in the Maldives will feature 26 beach villas and 30 overwater villas.

But the crowning jewel of this development is an ultra-exclusive collection of just 10 Nobu Island Estate Residences—each set on its own private island with private yacht access—offering a rare opportunity for unparalleled privacy and ownership in the Maldives.

At the heart of the experience will be a Nobu restaurant set on its own private island, complete with bar and lounge.

Additional amenities include a world-class spa, fitness center, diving facilities, tennis courts, event spaces, and a stunning main pool, all thoughtfully designed with Nobu’s signature blend of Japanese-inspired architecture, natural textures, and refined, contemporary luxury.
