Thinadhoo Council Pres. suspended for switching parties

V. Thinadhoo Council President Shujau Ali has been suspended for allegedly switching political parties. Sun has learned that the Local Government Authority (LGA) has formally notified Shujau of his suspension, citing his switch to Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) despite his election to the post on The Democrats’ ticket. Accordingly, Shujau has been instructed to refrain from his duties pending a final
