PNC seeks to halt PNF protests citing they are unlawful

People’s National Congress (PNC) has submitted a parliamentary resolution seeking to halt street protests of the People’s National Front (PNF), led by former president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyom, citing repeated violations of the Political Parties Act. The resolution, submitted by Holhudhoo MP Abdul Sattar Mohamed (Sato) on behalf of ruling PNC, acknowledges that the Constitution guarantees every Maldivian citizen the rights
