President’s Office’s YouTube channel hacked amidst livestream of trips

The President's Office's Youtube channel hacked.

The President’s Office’s YouTube channel has been hacked.

The channel is currently ‘unavailable’ on YouTube.

The channel was hacked amidst livestream of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s ongoing tour of selected Maldivian islands.

The President’s Office did not respond to queries regarding the matter.

Notably, the President’s Office YouTube channel serves as a video archive containing numerous recordings of former Maldivian presidents and vice presidents.

While the YouTube channel has been compromised, the President’s Office’s other social media platforms remain fully functional.

There have been prior incidents involving the hacking of social media accounts belonging to Maldivian government offices, most of which were eventually recovered.
