Visit Maldives sees 400% traffic surge after Liverpool fan campaign

Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) has revealed a 400 percent increase in traffic on Visit Maldives' official website through emails sent to Liverpool fans over the past week as part of its campaign in collaboration with Liverpool FC, one of the world's most popular football clubs.

Visit Maldives has announced that Liverpool will be preparing for the new Premier League season starting on the 15th of this month.

Visit Maldives will promote the Maldives to 600 million viewers around the world through live matches and digital platforms.

In preparation for the new season, Visit Maldives participated in Liverpool FC’s pre-season activities in Hong Kong to further connect with fans and Asian markets.

As part of the campaign, Visit Maldives has designed a dedicated page for website visitors and offered special packages from industry partners and VMC members.

Visit Maldives signed an agreement on March 13 to be Liverpool's official tourist destination partner until 2028.

Visit Maldives has celebrated the success of its campaign with Liverpool to promote the country, reaching more than 400 million people online in just 24 hours through the club’s PR and digital channels.

Visit Maldives has held fan club activities and live touchpoints to engage Liverpool fans in the campaign. These include a raffle for a holiday at Villa Nautica, which was attended by more than 20,000 people.
