President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Monday affirmed his commitment to demonstrating the tangible outcomes of the support and confidence bestowed upon him by the people during the presidential election.
Speaking to residents of Kudarikilu during his trip to Baa Atoll, President Muizzu expressed gratitude for their electoral support.
“The assurance I want to give is that I will show the results of the trust you have put in me. So, I can assure you that I will be able to fulfill the promises made to you in the matters of this island as well,” President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu stated.
The President assured Kudarikilu residents that he would fulfill his promises and provided updates on numerous ongoing projects.
Highlighting a critical initiative for Kudarikilu, he noted that preparations for the island's water and sewerage project have been finalized. These works are slated to commence this month and are expected to conclude within a maximum of six months from September.
Further highlighted projects include:
Road development, handed over to the RDC
Completion of ongoing school development and the construction of a multipurpose hall
Health center upgrade
Contract signed to build another mosque in Kudarikilu, with work to begin once land is secured
Football field completion, to be handed over this month
Establishment of a fitness and recreation center along with a handball court
The President affirmed that all these projects will proceed at a rapid pace, with his close oversight.
He is currently on a four-day visit to Baa Atoll.
