As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, Ooredoo Maldives has announce a unique opportunity for music enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the rhythms of Maldivian heritage through a special four-week boduberu class - led by Habeys Boduberu, one of Maldives’ most beloved and acclaimed boduberu bands.
According to a statement released by Ooredoo on Thursday, this exciting program is designed to teach participants the powerful rhythms of boduberu, a cherished part of Maldivian culture, under the expert guidance of Habeys Boduberu.
The sessions promise an unforgettable journey into music, tradition, and community.
The only eligibility criteria is being 18 years or above.
Participation is free of charge, with only 20 slots available, selected on a first-come, first-serve basis.
According to Ooredoo, the classes will be held on Saturdays over the course of four weeks (August 16, August 23, August 30 and September 6) from 08:00 pm to 11:00 pm on the fourth floor of the Ooredoo headquarters in Hulhumale’.
Interested participants have been asked to register online by 11:59 pm on August 16.
Ooredoo, which is celebrating 20 years of connecting communities, describes the boduberu class as a tribute to Maldivian heritage.
