Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened applications for the BML Scholarship Fund 2025, reaffirming its dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders in the banking and finance sector.
The BML Scholarship Fund provides full financial support for outstanding Maldivian students to pursue undergraduate program in banking and finance-related fields at the top 200 universities worldwide.
According to BML, this initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to strengthening local expertise and building capacity within the financial industry.
The fund will cover tuition fees, monthly stipend, visa fees, book and establishment allowances as well as air tickets for the student.
Maldivians between the ages of 18-25 years who have passed A Level examinations in all subjects are eligible to apply.
Applications are open until June 10.
BML’s CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said the BML Scholarship Fund plays a vital role in building a strong pipeline of skilled professionals for the financial sector.
“By supporting young Maldivians to access world-class education, we are investing in the long-term growth and sustainability of banking and finance in the Maldives,” he added.
Since its inception in 2022, the BML Scholarship Fund has supported nine students who are currently pursuing their studies in leading institutions across the UK and Australia.
