Sun Travels secures Silver Award for Leading Travel Agent at SATA

Sun Travels has been named Leading Travel Agent at the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA), which recognizes outstanding service providers in the South Asian tourism industry.

The company won the Silver Award in the category of Inbound Leading Travel Agent at a ceremony held at Barcelo Nassandhura in Male'. The award was received by Sun Travels’ Director of Sales and Marketing, Nina Nizar.

Established in 1990 as a travel agency and tour operator, Sun Travels’ core business is inbound tourism. What began as a small operation has grown into one of the Maldives’ most established and advanced tourism companies, with strong partnerships across major international tour operators.

Sun Travels underwent a rebranding on November 27 last year to further strengthen its role in promoting the Maldives as a leading global destination.

Under the Sun Siyam Group, the company operates five high‑quality resorts in the Maldives, Siyam World, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, Sun Siyam Iru Veli, Sun Siyam Olhuveli, and Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, along with Sun Siyam Pasikudah on Sri Lanka’s east coast.
