Three injured after motorcycle skids on Sinamale' Bridge and is hit from behind

Three people were injured when a motorcycle collided with another motorcycle that had skidded on the Sinamale' Bridge highway this evening.

Police said they received reports of a collision between two motorcycles at 4:55pm on Thursday. According to police, the accident occurred when one motorcycle skidded and fell, after which another motorcycle travelling behind crashed into the fallen bike.

Three people were injured in the accident and were taken to Tree Top Hospital for treatment, police said. In a follow-up update, the agency said a woman sustained a broken arm in the crash.

However, when Sun contacted Hulhumale' Hospital, officials said the three injured individuals were taken to Hulhumale' Hospital, not Tree Top. All three are in good condition, the hospital said.

Dangerous accidents have increased in the Male’ city area, with some incidents causing serious injuries and deaths. According to police statistics, an average of seven accidents occur daily on the Sinamale' Bridge.
