Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has unveiled a new sales centre and ATM in Sh. Funadhoo, marking another stride in its endeavour to broaden banking access across the atolls.

The service was established as part of a wider project to extend financial facilities to the provinces and to grant both residents and businesses easier access to essential banking services. The sales centre and ATM were officially inaugurated by Finance Minister Hassan Zareer, JP Vice President Adam Hussain, MIB Deputy CEO Ahmed Riza, and MIB Chief Financial Officer Ali Wasif.

The newly opened facilities will provide customers with MVR-deposit and withdrawal services, allowing the people of Funadhoo to conduct their financial affairs safely and conveniently without leaving the island. MIB said the expansion would bolster local commerce and offer businesses a steadier banking foothold.

The bank reiterated its commitment to carrying its services to every corner of the Maldives, forging financial pathways that support rural development and empower island-level enterprises.
