All vessels from Fishermen’s Park to Naadhee Goalhi asked to clear jetty zone before 11 pm Friday

The Ministry of Infrastructure has instructed the removal of vessels currently parked in the area where work is set to begin on the jetty in the northern part of Male'. 

In a notice posted on X, the ministry said preparations are underway to start work on the jetty to resolve long-standing difficulties faced by users of the northern waterfront, where congestion and limited docking space have created persistent challenges.

According to the ministry, all vessels moored from the Fishermen’s Park area to Naadhee Goalhi must be cleared from the zone before 11:00 pm on Friday. The area needs to be fully vacated to allow machinery access and ensure safety during the initial phase of the work.

The ministry also stated that any vessels remaining in the area after the deadline will be removed by the authorities. The clearance is part of broader efforts to improve access and streamline movement along the northern jetty area.
