Temporary mullah of Vandhoo arrested on charges of sorcery

The temporary mullah of Th. Vandhoo has been arrested on charges of sorcery.

Police said a report of alleged sorcery was lodged at 06:05 pm on Tuesday evening, after which a 61-year-old man was taken into custody in connection with the case. The incident is under investigation by the Maldives Police Service.

A source at the island told Sun that the man had been serving as a temporary mullah on the island.
