Swim Maldives launches ‘Odin Rashah’ with SME Digital as title sponsor

SME Digital has been appointed the title sponsor of the “Odin Rashah” swimming competition organized by Swim Maldives this year.

“Odin Rashah” is a new swimming series introduced by Swim Maldives. The competition features a 500-metre swim from a boat to the island hosting the event, a format being held in the Maldives for the first time.

The first event of “SME Digital Odin Rashah” is scheduled for next Saturday, with 100 swimmers set to compete.

SME Digital said the Odin Rashah series is designed to create swimming events across different parts of the Maldives, giving swimmers the opportunity to participate in competitions throughout the year. Next year, the series will expand to five islands across the country. Swim Maldives also plans to hold a second event before the end of this year.

SME Digital said its sponsorship aims to strengthen engagement with communities in the atolls and expand the company’s presence beyond Male'. The company added that events like Odin Rashah help support small businesses in rural areas and provide opportunities to raise awareness about SME Digital’s financing facilities available to small enterprises nationwide.
