Polytechnic student rushed to ADK after sudden chest pain and breathing difficulties

A female student of Maldives Polytechnic has been admitted to ADK Hospital after suddenly falling ill on Monday.

A Polytechnic official told Sun that the incident occurred around 1:30 pm on Monday. The student, who is enrolled in the tour guiding course, experienced sudden chest pain and breathing difficulties, after which she was immediately taken to ADK for treatment.

The institution said the student’s family has been informed of the incident.

Maldives Polytechnic is a government institution offering technical and vocational education across multiple fields, with campuses in Male' and the regions. The institution has between 500 and 800 students, and more than 300 graduates each year.
