Saaid Sports Club takes 2026 PS Relay title

Saaid Sports Club has won this year’s PS Relay organised by Physio Solutions.

The race was held in Central Park on Saturday in conjunction with World Physiotherapy Day.

The first-place team of the relay, which featured a total of 100 runners, was awarded a cash prize of MVR 15,000, a champion trophy and medals.

Santhosh Bikram Bist was named the fastest male runner, while Fasooha Ahumadh was named the fastest female runner. Both were awarded cash prizes of MVR 2,500, along with trophies and medals.

In addition, special trophies were presented to Azka Ismail, the best male runner, and Moomina Mohamed, the best female runner. The best under-18 runner award was won by three-time Olympian Ahmed Shafeeu.

Former Maldivian sprinter and three-time Olympian Ahmed Shafeeu graced the closing ceremony and handed over the trophies and prizes to the winners.

The first edition of the PS Relay was held in N. Holhudhoo in 2024. This year’s event also received a strong response. Physio Solutions General Manager Abdulla Bagir said the third edition of the PS Relay will be held on a larger scale and in an even more refined manner.
