Apple’s latest iPhone 18 will be available in the Maldives later this month, according to several electronics retailers.
Apple officially unveiled its flagship iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at its biggest hardware event of the year. The company announced that global sales will begin on Friday, the 18th of this month.
The iPhone remains extremely popular in the Maldives, with many customers purchasing the newest model as soon as it becomes available. Pre-orders typically begin immediately after launch.
Sun contacted multiple electronics stores, and retailers confirmed that the iPhone 18 is expected to arrive in the Maldives later this month. Some stores said they expect to receive stock within a week of the global release.
iMtech, a well-known electronics store, said it is working to bring in the iPhone 18 within a week of launch.
Meanwhile, Hamps, another popular retailer, said it will confirm pricing once shipments arrive in the Maldives later this month, noting that prices will be announced ahead of availability.
Retailers estimate that the initial price of the iPhone 18 Pro will be between MVR 27,000 and MVR 28,000, though most said they cannot provide exact pricing until the phones reach the country.
Apple has priced the iPhone 18 Pro at USD 1,199, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at USD 1,299.
This year’s biggest spotlight was on the iPhone Duo, launched alongside the iPhone 18. The device is priced at USD 1,999, approximately MVR 30,000.
Apple also introduced the newest generation of its popular audio line, the AirPods 5, which comes in two models.
The basic model, offering more than four hours of listening with ANC and 20 hours total with the charging case, is priced at USD 129.
The second model, featuring voice control through the stem and five hours of listening with ANC, costs USD 149.
Additionally, Apple launched its latest smartwatches: the Apple Watch Series 12, starting at USD 399, and the Apple Watch Ultra 4, starting at USD 799.
