The My Career Portal, designed to provide job market and career development services under one roof, was officially launched on Monday.
The portal was launched by Minister of Homeland Security, Labor and Technology Ali Ihusaan at a ceremony held this morning. It is an official platform initiated by the National Career Service (NCS), and developed under the World Bank-funded “Sails” project.
According to NCS, the main objective of the portal is to connect job seekers, employers and career advisors in a single view to further strengthen and facilitate the employment sector in Maldives.
The portal, launched on Monday, features job opportunities as well as a variety of resources to help shape future career paths. The main services include:
Career guidance: Connects job seekers directly with trained counselors to set goals, provide individualized guidance, and monitor action plans for career progression.
Career pathway designer: Helps users draw a roadmap to achieve long‑term career goals, with guidance from relevant experts.
Milestone tracker: Organizes a person’s education, training and work experience into a single chart to identify accomplishments and skills for further development.
Link to job: Announces job opportunities and automatically matches users with jobs that fit their skills, while simplifying and expediting the application process.

The introduction of this portal is part of the government’s policy to establish a job market that prioritizes Maldivians. NCS notes that it aligns with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s commitment to build a capable and skilled young working generation.
Job seekers and employers can now access the platform through www.mycareer.gov.mv.
