Dead whale beaches on Hoarafushi

A 30-foot whale has washed ashore on the western reef of HA. Hoarafushi.

According to Hoarafushi Council, following the discovery of the carcass, the Council, in coordination with relevant authorities, successfully recovered and buried the whale.

In this regard, the operation was conducted jointly by the Council, Hoarafushi Police, the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Northern Area Command, and the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) Hoarafushi site team.

After being brought ashore from the reef, the whale was safely buried on the island.
