Two youths arrested from Hulhumale’ with two cases of beer

Two young men were arrested from the Hulhumale’ jetty on Thursday with two cases of beer.

In a statement on Sunday, the police identified the suspects arrested in the case as:

Zayan Yoosuf, 23, Gulfaamge, N. Kendhikulhudhoo

Maisham Mohamed, 20, Dhoadhil, F. Feeali

The two were arrested from the jetty near the Marry Brown outlet in Hulhumale’ Phase I.

According to the police, the two aroused the suspicion of police officers on a routine patrol of the area. The police stopped and searched them, and found two cases of beer, totally 48 bottles, from a bag in their possession.

They were both remanded in custody of the police for seven days.

The case is under further investigation by the police.
