EyeCare partnered with the Care Society on Thursday for the non-profit’s annual Health Screening Day.
The Health Screening Day is an annual event held by Care Society, an NGO dedicated to empowering and supporting individuals with disabilities.
According to EyeCare, it provided eye checkups during this year’s event as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to enhancing community health and vision care accessibility.
The Health Screening Day was held at the Care Society premises on Thursday.
EyeCare states that around 50 participants, including children and adults with diverse special needs, benefited from the program.
According to EyeCare, the primary objective of the initiative was to identify vision-related concerns at an early stage and provide professional guidance on maintaining optimal eye health.
EyeCare’s team of qualified optometrists conducted basic vision assessments and offered clinical recommendations for those requiring further specialized care.
To ensure a comfortable and inclusive environment, the screening process was designed to be simple and accessible, catering to the specific needs of all participants.
Commenting on the initiative, EyeCare shared that reaching out to communities and improving access to early eye checks was a key part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The company said it remains committed to inclusive and accessible eye care, ensuring individuals receive timely screening, guidance, and referrals for further care where needed.
Through such initiatives, EyeCare continues to advocate for the importance of regular eye examinations and remains committed to raising public awareness regarding sustainable eye health practices across the Maldives.
