A special competition has been announced to design a logo to be used when Majeedhiyya School celebrates its 100th anniversary next year.

The aim of the competition is to create an official logo that symbolizes the proud history of the school. The association has opened the opportunity for designers, alumni and current students to submit logo concepts.

The winning logo will be used at all official events marking the school’s 100th anniversary. It will appear in events, publications, commemorative plaques and across digital platforms.

Logos submitted for the competition should:

• Symbolize the rich history of Majeedhiyya

• Reflect the leading role the school has played, and continues to play, in nation‑building

• Represent an optimistic vision for the next century

The association said the logo must be modern, meaningful and easy to use across both print and digital media.

Competition rules include:

• The submitted logo must be original and never used anywhere before

• It must be adaptable for use across various tools and media

• A short explanation of the concept must accompany the design

• Selected applicants must submit editable logo files

The association said entries will be judged on originality, creativity and relevance to the 100th anniversary theme. Technical quality, adaptability across formats, visual completeness and conceptual meaning will also be evaluated.

Logo submissions can be made online.

Majeedhiyya School was inaugurated on April 19, 1927 and celebrated its 99th anniversary on Sunday.

A special sign has been placed at the school’s main entrance to mark the 99th anniversary.

The building features important symbols connecting the school’s past and future. The school’s first badge is displayed on one side of the structure, while the current badge is on the other.

On the outside of the gate is a reference to the country nearing 100 years of nation‑building, while the inside displays the school’s motto.

The gym was officially opened by Majeedhiyya Senior Students Association President Ahmed Afal and the school’s principal Ahmed Mujahid. The ceremony was attended by association members and school staff.

Majeedhiyya School is a historic institution where many presidents have studied.
