59‑year‑old reported missing in Kulhudhuffushi found dead underwater

A 59‑year‑old man who went missing from H.Dh. Kulhudhuffushi City on Wednesday has been found dead underwater.

Police said a missing‑person report was filed at 13:48 p.m. on Wednesday.

The man, identified as Sulaiman Hussain, a resident of  Kulhudhuffushi, was discovered at 15:00 p.m. under the sea at Bodavaki Faa Preserve while officers were searching for him.

He was taken to Kulhudhuffushi City Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
