Nepalese man dies after disappearing while snorkeling at Vilimale’

A young Nepalese man died on Wednesday morning, shortly after he was taken to the hospital after getting pulled out from the waters off Vilimale’.

The 22-year-old was reported missing after going snorkeling in the Vilimale’ lagoon in the morning.

The police said they received the missing persons report at around 06:30 am, prompting the launch of a search and rescue mission by the Vilimale’ Police and the Marine Police.

The young man was found from underwater at around 06:55 am.

“He died while under treatment at the Vilimale’ Hospital,” said the police.

The exact circumstances of his death are unclear at this point.

The case is under further investigation by the police.
