Dhiraagu honors outstanding staff at annual awards

Dhiraagu hosted its annual awards on Friday, honoring staff for their outstanding contributions to the company.

Dhiraagu describes this annual event as a key moment in the company’s calendar, recognizing employees who demonstrate long-term commitment and outstanding performance, while reinforcing the company’s culture of appreciation, collaboration, and continuous growth.

This year’s event was attended by the Chairperson of the Communications Authority of Maldives (CAM), Ilyas Ahmed, Dhiraagu CEO andMD, Ismail Rasheed, Dhiraagu Board Directors, as well as members of the Dhiraagu’s leadership and staff.

At this year’s annual awards, total 88 staff were honored for their outstanding contributions to the company. 53 long-serving staff, who have been with the company for the last 10, 15, and 25 years, were recognized for their continued contributions over the years. Awards were also presented to 34 staff who have made notable strides in the company’s success, which included 14 Divisional Merit Awards, 10 Special Merit Awards, eight Innovation Awards from three notable projects and two Outstanding Leaders Awards.

According to Dhiraagu, these awards reflect the wide range of talent within the organization and celebrate individuals and teams who have gone above and beyond to support the company’s strategic objectives.

Dhiraagu’s most prestigious recognition, the Chairperson’s Award, was awarded to Khalaf Mohamed Nafiz from Consumer Services. Khalaf, who began his career journey through the Dhiraagu Apprenticeship Program, was recognized for his consistent performance, excellence, innovation, and his ability to deliver results.

“From the ground up, he played a pivotal role in envisioning, building, and delivering a platform that significantly enhanced our commercial performance, while streamlining processes and strengthening our responsiveness to evolving market needs,” states Dhiraagu.

Dhiraagu said it remains focused on empowering its workforce to create meaningful impact, enrich the digital lives of communities across the Maldives, and continue enabling customers and employees alike to take on tomorrow.
