Tree Top Hospital has launched a new, dedicated Pain Management Clinic, providing world-class, interventional care for chronic pain.

Located on the 1st floor of the hospital, the clinic is led by Dr. Aminath Fiuna and Dr. Bishnu Ravi Kesavan, a team of specialist anesthetists with advanced training in interventional pain management.

Their expertise is backed by seamless integration with TTH’s full multidisciplinary team.

TTH believes that this collaborative approach ensures that each patient benefits from coordinated care, drawing on the expertise of specialists across various departments to create a holistic and effective treatment plan.

The Pain Management Clinic is open Sunday to Wednesday, from 03:00 pm to 06:00 pm. However, it will be closed from Thursday to Saturday.

TTH says the clinic addresses a wide spectrum of painful conditions, offering new hope for patients suffering from chronic back pain, osteoarthritis, cancer-related pain, and neuropathic disorders.

By utilizing state-of-the-art, image-guided techniques and evidence-based medicine, the clinic ensures precise diagnosis and effective treatment with minimal recovery time.

The clinic is relevant for those experiencing acute and chronic pain such as:

  • Chronic back pain, sciatica, or spinal conditions (herniated disc, spinal stenosis, lumbar radiculopathy)
  • Osteoarthritis of the knee, hip, or shoulder
  • Myofascial pain, occupational injuries, or sports-related musculoskeletal conditions
  • Neuropathic pain conditions including postherpetic neuralgia or trigeminal neuralgia
  • Chronic migraines, cervical dystonia, or spastic disorders
  • Pelvic, tailbone, or complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS)
  • Cancer-related pain or pain arising from advanced disease
  • Guests referred by Orthopedics, Neurology, Oncology, Rheumatology, or Primary Care

By providing advanced, specialist care locally, Tree Top Hospital says it seeks to actively support the Maldives’ long-term national health goal of reducing outbound medical travel, allowing more citizens to receive exceptional care without having to leave the country.
