The Maldives is set to strengthen its connectivity with Germany as Condor Airlines resumes summer flights to Male’ for the 2026 season, marking the return of a key European carrier to the destination after several years.
According to Condor’s Summer 2026 long-haul schedule, flights to Velana International Airport in Male’ will operate from Frankfurt multiple times per week, with services scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The seasonal operation runs from May 1 to October 31, aligning with the European summer travel period.
According to a statement released by Visit Maldives on Saturday, the reintroduction of Condor’s Maldives route follows sustained engagement with German travel trade partners, including tour operators who continue to play a central role in driving demand from one of the Maldives’ most established source markets.
Germany has consistently remained a strong contributor to tourist arrivals, supported by a mature travel ecosystem and high repeat visitation.
The additional airlift is expected to support increased visitor flows during the summer months, a period that has seen growing interest due to competitive pricing, favorable travel packages, and expanding product offerings across resorts and guesthouses.
Direct connectivity from Frankfurt also strengthens access from wider European feeder markets.
Visit Maldives believes that Condor’s return reflects broader confidence in the Maldives as a stable, high-demand destination within the long-haul leisure segment.
The airline’s network, combined with partnerships across German tour operators, provides structured distribution channels that support both volume and value-driven travel.
The development comes as parts of the Middle East air corridor face operational disruptions affecting travel flows. Additional direct connectivity from Europe provides greater routing flexibility and reliability for travelers, supporting continued access to the destination and helping to sustain growth across key source markets.
With the resumption of Condor’s summer operations, the Maldives is positioned to further consolidate its presence in the German market while offering travelers additional options to access the destination during the 2026 travel season.
