Two companies have signed agreements to construct a new accommodation block and a police station as part of efforts to strengthen the Maldives Police Service.
The signing ceremony took place at the Shaheed Hussain Adam Building, Police Headquarters.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikury signed both agreements on behalf of the Maldives Police Service.
The first agreement was signed with Fedo Pvt Ltd for the construction of a police accommodation block in HA. Dhidhdhoo. The company was represented by Director Ali Wasiu.
The second agreement was signed with Mims Construction Pvt Ltd for the construction of a police station in R. Maduvvari. Managing Director Saudullah Hilmy signed on behalf of the company, who is also Thinadhoo North MP from PNC in the current parliament.
According to the Maldives Police Service, these projects aim to enhance operational capacity in the atolls and improve living conditions for officers stationed outside Male' city.
